Why I put this out is that Capt. Rick is A.W.O.L. We have lost contact with him. We hope he is OK just sick of running the site.

Yeah, I'm here... My boat, not so much... found out in May that my Cutlass Struct was twisted and had been since I bought the boat. My surveyor missed it. It *was* on the P.O.'s survey. So that screwed up the geometry of the drive line, destroying the cutlass bearing, scoring the prop shaft, making the stuffing box leak and making the transmission leak.

The boat needed: Strut straightened, new cutlass bearing, new packing gland (I went dripless), new propeller shaft, propeller recondition, transmission rebuild, and pressure plate reman. Basically everything from the bell housing back. Boat has been at the yard since June 11. I am hopeful it will be back end of next week. But I have not been boating since like March or April.

While it is out of the water: Touch up bottom paint, new anodes, wash, wax, buff, and detail. And I had them remove the original transducer (since there was access to it with everything out of the boat) and fill and patch the hole.

My only hope is that this will get me more efficiency since the friction was probably pretty good in the packing gland and cutlass bearing and that old transducer was the size of your fist. That's my hope anyway. I just want my boat back.
